Hi, I’m Rachel Álvarez, a student at CTP 27 de Abril, specializing in Lodging Business Operations, and I want to share how this experience changed my perspective on the impact of our consumption on our beaches. I learned about microplastics and never imagined that such a tiny particle could cause so much damage.

At first, the beach looked clean at first glance, but when we entered the mangrove area, we found a huge amount of accumulated trash. That’s when I understood that many times the problem isn’t visible, but it’s there.

This experience made me reflect on how small actions matter. After working with GEA, I’m much more aware of what I do and the impact my actions have on the environment. 💚

Hola soy Rachel Álvarez, estudiante del CTP 27 de Abril, de la especialidad de Operaciones de Empresas de Alojamiento y quiero compartir cómo esta vivencia cambió mi forma de ver el impacto de lo que consumimos en nuestras playas. Aprendí sobre los microplásticos y nunca imaginé que una partícula tan pequeña pudiera causar tanto daño.

Al inicio, la playa se veía limpia a simple vista, pero cuando entramos a la zona del manglar, encontramos muchísima basura acumulada. Ahí entendí que muchas veces el problema no se ve, pero sí existe.

Esta experiencia me hizo reflexionar sobre cómo las pequeñas acciones importan. Después de trabajar con GEA, soy mucho más consciente de lo que hago y del impacto que mis acciones tienen en el medio ambiente. 💚
